LiteOn DG-16D2S 9xxx series question
I'm sure this is covered in here somewhere but I could not find it.. I already know about the trace cutting to get a good FW dump but is there a new version of the CK3 probe that can be used and where can I purchase it? I have the original probe and I have noticed one with 2 prongs and a newer one called the probe III? Just wondering how all these differ when flashing liteons.. Thanks.

search for a probe 3, it requires no trace cutting at all!!

So if I already have the CK3 connectivity kit will I just have to get the new probe part or do I have to purchase a whole new kit?

That's right. Or you can make one yourself, it is easy if you have basic soldering skills. See Pogo Mon Thoin in the tutorial section here:
