can anyone confirm that the new game backups xgd3 will need a dual layer disc with more than 8.5 gb and if so do dual layer discs exist with more gb. than 8.5

it should burn on the same disc we have been using

just came across this on the c4eva website which confirms cofree's answer
LT+ v2.0 IN PROGRESS This version adds support for XGD3 backups, including the LT-MAX feature which allows burning XGD3 ISOs on regular DVD+R DL media.
what would we do without these talented people many thanks to all that give there time so we dont ruin our original games.

Microsoft would need to basically invent a new disk if the game was over 8.5 GB, and would probably need a new drive which would mean no games with the new disk would work on any current xbox. You would need a new/external drive kind of like what they did with the HDDVD.
