flashing back to stock
hey guys, i wanna go back to stock to take this most recent update but am unsure as to which f/ware file to flash. do i use the pre-13141 or post 13141? if post 13141, which one? oh yea its a liteon v 7400 and theres 4 diffrent types, 74850c1a000, 74850c1b000, 74850c1c000 and 74850c1e000. thanx in advance

I had the same problem with a Benq. I found that it doesn't matter which stock FW you put back in it but make sure it's a "pre" update. I then applied the update with a GOW3 I rented from Blockbuster. All my consoles are now running like real champs.
Before you attempt anything, make a full dump of your 74 just in case. It won't hurt anything.

AFAIK this is how it works:
When you dump your drive, you will see your key, and it will say DVD Key @ xxxx
So if it says dvd key @ a000 then use "74850c1a000", or dvd key @ b000 use "74850c1b000" etc etc.
I doubt it matters what firmware you use, I'm pretty sure it only really matters for after the dash update since the console will sometimes check the key and if its in the wrong location your ap 2.5/6 check will fail and your game wont boot.
