India Verbs.....

Post by Digital Menace »

unfortunately i got a pack of em, i didn't bother looking and damn says made in india

although it's still mkm-001 an azo dye an all that crap....

but just by looking at both a sing and the india side by side...i can tell even with the naked eye theres ""waves/ripples" on the india disc. where the singapore one looks perfect more less....

now my question is, should i settle with these ? or do you think i could return em to best buy an search if they have any of the same pack but made from singapore ? i'm guessing the whole 20 pack batch is all india...but would they even let me exchange em ?

just for the hell of it, i burned a game on it an it plays/sounds the same as my singapore verbs...

but overtime would these india verbs hurt my drive laser ? are they really that terrible ? i'm thinking they could be....

i'm not really sure what i should i do...

thanks for any input guys.

I'm currently burning through a pack of the India verbs. I can tell they aren't quite the same as the Singapore ones, but they are working for me. Haven't had a coaster yet out of them.

Well, the 360's that I've played these in don't seem to have a problem reading them. I mean they seem to boot at around the same time as the Singapore ones, and the load times are pretty much the same too. At least for me they are. So I would say as long as your console can read them without any out of the ordinary boot or load times, they should be alright to use.

Next time buy'em from here http://search.ebay.com/verbatim-dl_W0QQ ... turnedZ300" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; they're cheaper than any store and they are surely the Singapore ones.

yup, although it seems these verbs perform the same as the singapores.

well on my 360 anyway, sounds/reads the same.

but yea i guess the quality just isn't as good.

I wouldn't worry about it really unless you start to get coasters or boot errors. If you are really concerned about the quality vs singapore Verbatim's run them through CD-DVD Speed. Don't check quick scan and scan the discs at the same speed you burn them. The disc quality and surface scans can be useful at times.

Down cd-dvd speed here: http://cdspeed2000.com/download.html#nerocdspeed" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Guide: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f96/cd-dvd-spe ... de-192563/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You don't have to read the guide, just pop in your burned disc, check everything but quick scan and the advanced scan features and scan the disc at the same speed you burned it.

that's weird, when i double-click the .exe to install the program it says no cd roms found.

well how can this work if it has to be a cd-rom ?

when i'm trying to check a dvd of course. lol

i mean i don't have a cd-rom on this pc, just my dvd burner.

oh well i guess.
