noob question

say if a ban was issued to me would it ban my console via my gamertag when i signed into it next and disable live like that or would they of logged my consoles serial when they caught me playing gears 2 early? im considering getting a rrod'd console to do a temp fix so i can see if the ban is issued like that but guessed some-one here could be in the know. one of my friends got banned a couple of weeks ago but retrieved his gt on a friends console and has been playing live since so its not like it'll keep banning every console you go on or ban your gt completley.

i clocked that there was some sort of sting on the day before it came out and made a new gamertag and havent been on my old one since. its put me off downloading games forever so am only gonna play my own rips from now on and never anything early, its really not worth the risk if anyone reading this is considering it.

i get that but how would they issue the ban because i havent signed into the gamertag i got caught playing gears on since it came out officially or when the bans started getting sent out and im 90% sure i was caught by xbox staff, what im saying is is it possible to dodge a ban by not signing into live with the gamertag you suspected you were caught on because thats how they're issued out? for instance say my gamertag was black listed would it ban the 1st console i signed into live with as i wasnt caught with a bad rip just being stupid with unreleased games, probably a good experiment to conduct to be fair haha

if you hook the console to live that has log a problem then it is banned.
it dont mater what tag you use.

xbl bans are due to bad rips - not playing games early

if the rip is bad the console will log the info in secdata.bin (see above links)
once that info is logged there's no way of getting round it!

al this gears related bans bullshit is just nonsense... if the rip is bad then yes consoles running it will be detected & then banned - not because it's gears 2

just hook your console up to live & test it // there's no way to cheat the ban hammer if u have played bad rips so you have nothing to lose
