Problem backing up game

Post by stick person »

Hey, I just got my Samsung SH-D162D flashed with Kreon v1.0 from ebay so I decided to test it by backing up a game. I followed all the rules exactly in CoFree's tutorial, but I'm getting an error. About 11 seconds in I get an error saying "Invalid Security Sector Detected." I hit retry but to no avail. Anyone know why this is and what to do about it? I am backing up an original game too. Thanks for the help.

edit: Just for some more info I'm using the drive externally, running it on a Thinkpad T60. I tried more than one game too, but no luck.

Yea, I;m using this enclosure: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817366013" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It connects to the laptop through USB. When I plugged the USB in and turned it on, it said hardware installed and the hardware was ready to use.

man
mine works fine
you said you have tried more than one disc right

if it starts reading
it should be fine unless the disc has trash or is scratched up

I'm not sure. I just tried plugging it into the 3 on my laptop. How can I tell if they're high speed?
Is there a way to tell if my drive is actually flashed with Kreon?
And could I maybe ignore it then use AGBX to fix it?

look at this guide
http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... =110&t=113" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
you can see that in the first picture,in the bottom box it list the dvd drives that are in the computer.
it shows all 4 drive.
if you look at the 2nd dvd drive you can see that its a sh-d162c drive with kreon v100 firmware.

Now I'm testing it out with the Arcade game that came with the 360. I never opened that, and now it's working. So maybe the games have to be in pristine condition? None of the games I tried were too scratched, just a couple here and there. Maybe that's all it takes. I have to run, but I'm gonna try another game when I get back from work.

Yeah, thats the only fault I have with making backups on a kreon drive, they are traditionally very picky about reading through scratches. Can you say Disk Dr.??

damn that sucks, i would think the benq/sammy drive with 0800 read better then, as i've only had maybe 3 or so that wouldn't rip.
