Hi
I have VIA SATA PCI card and I successfully created bootable USB flash with iPrep. I haven't open my sbox yet but I tested to boot PC with USB flash. I changed the bios settings but I got error "Remove disks or other media. Press any key to restart". Is this "real" problem or is this because the PC is not connected to xbox?
Thanks for your help!
Question about booting with USB flash
Re: Question about booting with USB flash
something in your bios is not right
Re: Question about booting with USB flash
I did more testing and still have the same problem. I still think that my computer is trying to boot from USB. In bios I have booting order: usb-zip, hard disk, cd-rom and when I have usb flash plugged I get the error message "Remove disk..." but when I unplug it the computer normally boots from hard disk. Or can bios settings still explain this?
Does the type of the usb flash matter? I have two flashes but they are both quite old. Can it be the reason?
All ideas are welcome because I don't have floppy so usb is my only way to upgrade the firmware
My motherboard is Abit IS7
Thanks!
