Even though you have proberly removed the via drivers so the drive doesnt lock up after erasing, it can lock up after erasing and windows will NOT crash in the new jungle flasher 0.1.51 b as of what i have found. Its not a definate but its happened to me.
If the drive status has returned as unkown, check if it has locked up (wont eject, doesnt show up in windows).
This is not a serious problem as to CoFree's very helpful video on how to unlock the drive and flash in DOS.
Just follow that video and your good and going again playing your back ups

Like in the video just delete the unwanted files, place DOS files in from the ixtreme 1.5 package, place in NEW iXTREME 1.51 firmware jungle flasher made for you and do what CoFree does.
Heres what i do when im in DOS:
When at iPrep main menu (dsam, fsam and that stuff)
Plug sata cable in drive,
Turn drive on,
Type l-o-eras.exe xxxx, ENTER (xxxx being the port the drive is connected to, i cant tell you what it is because its different for everyone)
Should give you a status of FF80
Type l-o-eras.exe xxxx, ENTER
Should give you a status of FF72
Turn drive off,
Type dosflash, ENTER
MTK vendor intro will fail on your port,
Type Y to resend, ENTER
Turn drive on,
Enter the number of the drive, its the number next to the drive that failed with MTK, ENTER
Type E to erase, ENTER
Drive will erase properly now,
Turn drive off when finished erasing,
Type dosflash, ENTER
MTK vendor intro will fail on your port,
Type Y to resend, ENTER
Turn drive on,
Enter the number of the drive, same number as before, ENTER
Type W to write, ENTER
Type in lite_cfw.bin, ENTER,
Now it should double check erase and write all 4 banks 0 1 2 3
ENTER means enter on the keyboard so no one gets confused and types enter when your ment to press it lol.
I hope this will help anyone who has had there drive lock up on them.
