Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
Well i run into something new. I have always ripped my games with xbc and kreon drive. Backed up hawx went to burn with IMG burn and made sure booktype was dvd-rom. Burned fine but when it goes to verify i get an error at the layer break. Thought it was dirty media so i tried again and same error. The weird thing is that the games play great but i am nervous about going online with them. This also happened with street fighter 4. I attached the log . Any help would be appreciated. Checked with abgx and it can't read but they pass stealth checks and everything checks out. It's weird because i've never had this problem with the 30 + games i've already burned.
Re: Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
You have to keep in mind that H.A.W.X. is using the new video partition style they are calling 3rd wave. This maybe causing the problems you are seeing. When you use ABGX are you using the 1.0 version?

Re: Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
I didn't have any issues burning Street Fighter 4. It could be your media, but I doubt it. I haven't tried HAWX yet, but I'll be able to trying it soon. Just make sure you verify the iso with ABGX before burning and verify the disc with ABGX after. If it's good to them, then I would play it online. Just remember that none of us are 100% safe.

Re: Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
well i verified with abgx and it gives error while verifying dvd put everything checks out as far as stealth. did your street fighter verify with imgburn or abgx? Like sadalius said it may be the new wave. I've always used verbatim DVD+R DL
Re: Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
Thought it might be a program issue but i have verified 3 older games and the all verified good so it looks like sadalius is on the right track. Thanks again. If anyone else comes up with this let me know.
Re: Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
had another idea on why it might not be verifying when i run the backup iso through abgx it is set to automatically fix any error or if anything doesn't match up. Do you think that is why it is not verifying the game???? Curious now
Re: Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
It shouldn't be the cause of it because imgburn just verifies what it's written. If ABGX changed something prior to you burning it, imgburn has no idea that something was changed.
If you ripped this iso yourself and know it's a good rip, I wouldn't let abgx change anything on the first pass. I'd let it check it and report what it found and then make a decision based on that.

Re: Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
is anyone else having trouble verifying hawx with IMGBURN and the abgx passing all stealth checks but dvd info not verifying. I am using the 1.0 abgx. just want to see if i am the only one with the IMGBURN problem with these 3rd wave games.
Re: Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
oh yeah i went back and re-copied the game and checked and it did the same. Also abgx wasn't adding anything to the file. It was a another disk i had done.
Re: Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
i never verify any of my burns.
what could img burn tell you.
its going to play or not.
img burn knows nothing about the iso
its just checking the burn
being that the disc is not a "RW" it dont matter.

Re: Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
good point i think i'm just too paranoid. thanks again fellas
Re: Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
but your stealth checked out?
i tryed 3 times and and it failed on most of the fields in all three attempts.
i have never had that happen.
could they have put new security into the game?

Re: Error While Verifying H.A.W.X.
i took sadalius's advice. If you are backing up the games with kreon drive they are better than then abgx patching. If you are downloading them that's a different story. I don't trust downloads. Even though i'm sure there is some good ones out there that can be trusted.
