Steps to install new Via VT6421A Card

I've been reading around, and once again...i'm confused.

I'm just trying to figure out what process/steps do i need to take when installing the new card.

I'm going to be using iPrep primarily. From time to time, 360FW Toolbox 4.8 for a hitachi drive i have.

Do i install the drivers that come with the via card, or am i supposed to use some other drivers?

If i need other drivers other than the manuf. drivers, what's the name of the driver, and where do i get it? xbins?

For the most part use the drivers included in the package. There have been some instances where people have to had to use older drivers for the VIA 6421A card. JF is supposed to work better now with the VIA cards but some of us are still having issues.

With JF that's what PortIO32 is for...

with the hits (especially if you're using FWtoolbox), you'll need to have the VIA drivers installed. I think 5.3 is the one that people seem to get to work

Yeah the drivers are 5.30c

On a side note, Port I/O worked fine for my 79, but my buddies Hit47 wouldn't work with it.
