Flashing a Lite-on

Post by Uwantmore »

If you have a Lite-on drive can you flash it with a ck3 or xtractor and use that lite-on drive?

Or must I replace the lite-on drive and use a Spoof bin from the Lite-on on a Benq Drive?

Reason I ask this is reading the directions off Xtrators site it says that I have to spoof the drive etc but these could be a older set directions.

Thanks Cofree you been a great help, but I'm haveing a issue with jungle flasher no matter what version I try to open it gives me a message the application failed to initilaze properly (oxc0000135)click oh to terminate.

I had it working with the ck3 when I had that chip. But that chip was faulty and they exchanged it for the xtreme, and from the ck3 locking my pc so many times. I had to format my pc the os kept looping from all the cold starts.

I can use the 360 xtractor reader and use seriel to get the bin atleast it seems to search and locate the drive test port comes back good and i see the drive then i get the key read fine .I see a key in key retrieved but soon as I choose Prepare spoofed firmware it loads the last read files then i try to load the base fw I get a error message at that point that says cannot determine Fw type.

I don't no what the hell I could be doing wrong but I don't need another Dvd player "lol"

I'm on Xp, I have the correct 6421 Sata card, I have a Xtreme chip with the probe,I have a seriel cable because usb sometimes locks the pc up and seriel has never done that,Lite-on drive ,I installed the usb drivers,Cdm 2.04.16 drivers,Portio32 1.4 drivers. I hope that's enough info.

Make sure you have .dotnet 2 or above installed and are running jungleflasher on an administrator account. It takes a bit to load up too so give it a minute.
