There's a hard drive menu in my BIOS that lists them sequentially. The USB stick shows up for me there and I make it Disk 1 instead of my Raptor which is my main C:\. This way the computer looks to the USB stick first and boots it like that.

yep i have same bios, just disconnect all drives, and set bios to boot from usb first, then find your USb drive under HDD's and it will be caled like UHDD or something like that.
make sure raid is off, and legacy mode is on

Go to your BIOS and go to Advanced BIOS Features > First Boot Device > Choose Removable
if it doesnt boot up your usb when you do it the first time, reboot and hit F10 for the boot menu and go to HDD's and choose your USB stick.

dude, just use floppy disc to boot in DOS. 1, use Iprep prepare the firmware in floppy 2, make it bootable 3 then try to restart and boot ur 3.5 floppy disc drive
P.S. USING FLOPPY DISC TO WRITE FIRMWARE, IT WILL BE SLOWER THAN OTHERS AND IT IS NORMAL
BTW USE jungleflash backup your dummy key file first
