Upgrading to iXtreme 1.4

i currently have Xtreme 5.3 on my samsung ms25 drive and i wanna upgrade to iXtreme 1.4, can i just straight flash over the top or do i have to go back to the original firmware and then flash it again?

You don't have to restore it, if you use iprep, then all you need to do is go at it like it's a stock drive, but you'll have to do the 10 second trick now since it has xtreme 5.3 with firmguard on it.

there is no straight over the top

you do it just like the first time you flash it.
first do the dump let it build the ne hacked firmware
then flash

the thing is that as long as you have a copy of your orig somewhere you dont have to reboot into windows to check your key.as long as the key looks goog after firmtool run you can flash.
