[Lite-On Drive And CK3]

Post by jshakes »

Hi I Have one Question... Do you I HAVE to have a 'CK3' To Flash a Lite-On Drive??????

Because I have flash a Benq,Samsung and hitachi Drives without a 'CK3'. To flash these drives, I Hooked up each drive via my sata card and thats all it needed for windows to detect my drives which allowed me to flash them. So if i soldered the R707 Could i still Flash the drive with my method????

I appreciate the help thank you.

yes u have to have a ck3 or maximus extractor,

some info travels across the USB or rs232 cable and goes through sata also.

the ck2 does not have a com port rs232 hook up
or
a usb hookup

so yes you have to get a ck3 ;)

If your pc already has a com port (which you said it has? )then you don't need to buy another card. You just need an r232 male to female serial extension (and the ck3 and probe) and you're good to go.

the lite comes with a serial cable and the pro come with usb. usb will not work with iPrep. you'd have to use that with junglflasher. . .
