How do i flash a Hitachi 79 drive?

I have flashed every other drive several times beside a Hitachi 79. I know i have to get it into mode B and boot into windows, Then what do i do after that? Thanks in advance.

Install the latest Jungle Flasher(JF) in your machine

Load your thumbdrive with all the firmware for HIT.

Install on your desktop the "place firmware here" folder, should only have the checksum sheet in it when your first place it on desktop.

Place your original and IE versions (example orig 79b and IE 79b) of your firmware into this folder from your thumbdrive.

Download the unlock 79 audio cd and burn it with IMG burn as directed by JF.

With connectivity kit attached and powered to drive eject the drive three times.

Launch Jungle Flasher.

Flip to the Hit tab of JF, it should have recognized your drive as a 79.

Press the Mode B button, follow the directions on screen.

In mode B? Continue If not repeat above steps.

Eject the tray of drive with on screen commands, EJECT button on JF.

Place 79 unlock disc in drive.

Press the play 79 unlock button.

Unlocked? if so continue and flash as you would normally. If not retry above steps...still not unlocked go back and follow directions exactly as stated on burning the 79 unlock audio cd...Try again.

Thanks CoFree =) can i burn the 79 unlock onto a dvd RW?

Must be burned to a CD-R...I tried it multiple ways, this is the method outlined by Team Jungle to Burn to CD-R using the Cue Sheet in IMG burn to burn the bin. I tested it with a straight up burning program, CloneCD, and it did not work that way either. Hope this solves it for you.

Thanks for your help guys, Just one last question... If i flash it through Firmware toolbox smart hack patcher ect.. What firmware does that load onto the drive? Thanks

Edit: Guys, Now im Confused... do i burn the whole 79 unlock folder onto disc? and in image burn do i click burn folder to disc? could someone give me a step by step? Thanks

all you burn is the small .cue file

when sadlaious says it picks up his drive, it does not pickup mine. And when he says it will never show there, Mine does :S

Also if i do it the other way, when i play the file on disc, when i click the 79unlock after the cmd opens and goes straight back off. Any ideas?
