hitachi 0079 spoof to 0078 ?

hi guys great site love it wonder if you can help have a 0079 hitachi drive and a spare 0078 drive can i spoof the 0078 drive with hacked fw to 0079 ,i have 0078 org fw but can i get a dump from the 0079 any help would be good

In order to get a dump of the 79 drive, you have to solder in a maximus 79 passkey onto the circuit board of the 79. If I was going to go through all that much trouble to install the passkey on the 79, I would just flash it and be done with it.
