bad rip or not
bad rip or not
First I would like to say hi to everyone this site is great, this is my first post anyway. I am using a SH D163B with xbc 2.8 so far all good I always use the stealth check on xbc and mulleter 10.2 everything is all good Then I started using abgx 1.01 and rechecked everything I had and on a couple of them it would pass all the checks but the crc and give me 4 reasons why this might be one being a bad rip so I checked it with the crc check in mulleter and it also said bad rip but they play fine on my light on with 1.5 can you please help?

Re: bad rip or not
You might post the abgx log for us to get an idea as to whats going on. And one thing that needs to be understood is just because abgx or mulleter reports that a game might be a bad rip, doesn't mean that it won't play in your console. It means that something just isn't quite right with a stealth file or the CRC's doesn't match or something like that and that if it isn't right, you might get added to the next ban wave. Games that are like this will more than likely play without incident, and they may be perfectly fine, it just could be that the game your ripping isn't in the game database so there isn't anything to compare CRC's too or something to that nature.
But anyway, post up your abgx log and we'l take a look.

Re: bad rip or not
Man dude I wish could I allready deleted the iso's out of my computer I thought they were bad all I have left is the backed up versions I burned. Can I run it off the disc or dump the iso back to my computer with a backup

Re: bad rip or not
You would have to re-rip the game in order to get it to where you can burn it again.

Game partition CRC does not match the verified ini! There are 4 possibilities:
1. This is a bad rip (the most likely cause). If you're checking a DVD backup
and have AnyDVD or a similar app installed, make absolutely sure the process is
killed! If this is a scene release, search for it on abgx.net and look at the
column "Bad CRC or Needs Fixing". If you see a <!> icon, hover over it with
your mouse to read the alt text. If it says something like "Bad game data CRC"
or gives the name of a fix (PPF patch), we already know about it. It's also
highly recommended to run abgx360 again with AutoFix set to level 3 if you
applied a PPF to make sure stealth files haven't been corrupted. See "What is
AnyDVD style corruption?" in the GUI Quickstart tab for more info on game data
corruption.
2. Your CPU/RAM/HDD/data bus is unstable and corrupted the data during
extraction/burning or while checking the CRC. Make sure to run the sfv and try
extracting it again (assuming you have the sfv/rars) and recheck the ISO/DVD to
see if you get the same CRC.
3. Game data was intentionally modified for some reason. Microsoft does not
take kindly to modifications for any purpose, and even benign changes to game
data or settings will get you banned from Xbox Live!
4. The verified Game CRC in the database is wrong (very unlikely).

If you don't have any DVD ripping software like anydvd, then I would say yes, this is a bad rip.
