Well guys
the ones that know me understand that i don't cut any isp ,any slack
for that matter i have hatted every one i have every had.
Lets go down the list shall we.
there was
... Alltel dial-up No dsl in my area (more on this later)
... Hughes.net (OMG was that crap bad. Your better off with a air card)
... Alltel air card (does ok but they lied to me about the speed i would get.)
... Alltel dsl does ok but i could only get it uptown at the shop (more later)
... comcast cable (ok this one is fast (or i thought) when the damn thing works.I have to call them no less than 2 times
a month just for someone to go ,oh i see what it is ,there try it now. Then what do you know it works.
When you add in that comcast has been packet sniffing and reading packet data along with other
information i think someone should be in jail.
Now comes along "Windstream Commutation"
What do they do but buy alltel (the land line part).
If they only new what i was think the day i got that news, they would probably turn off my service for a day just to be a pain.
So i start waiting to see what i can find to bitch about, well i wait ,wait and wait.
now at this point i let my self start thinking that they may not be that bad.
At about the same time the flood gate opened.
I moved to a new place closer to town and had DSL available.
It was like a kid in a candy story.i was going to be able to get DSL service (no more Hughes) great.
So two young guys show up to work on the phone system and get it running.now keep in mind that I have the house on one line with DSL and the gameroom on a different line with its own DSL.
When i was on the phone getting my new work order put in, the lady told me i could get 1.5 dsl. That was good ,but i would have liked faster but 1.5.
so back to where i was
the guys show up at the house.one of them say well man you know you can get 3.0 dsl right.
holy cow for real great then hook that up in both places.
Some where over the next day or two i talked to Windstream for something (it couldn't have been bad or i would have remembered what it was about

but while i was on the phone the lady said well you are aware that there is 6.0 DSL available at your location.
Well hell no i did not know that the guys were just here 2 days ago and upgraded my service to 3.0.
but,yes turn it on at both numbers the house and the gameroom.
The windstream service man that came out was COEBRA for some speed testing and stuff
Of course he got the 6.0 running and you would think this is where the story ends.
well as it happens. down the road from me someone was digging around and cut a line (i guess) because the gameroom phone went out (dsl still worked)
so i did not call for 2 weeks or more
but i did get around to calling and COEBRA was the service man that came back out.
then once again ,of course he got the phone up and working.
we started talking about this and that.
i told him i had heard that 12.0 DSL was around in some places but i knew it was not here but it was just something to talk about with him.(for once i was happy with my ISP)
Well he says let me make a call
he sat down at the old desk to my 10 year old use and starting looking in the modem all the while having some guy on the phone.
i could tell they where doing some kind of test on speed and packet loss and stuff.
the next thing i hear is well man if you would like
We can turn on 12.0 DSL here for you.
I like to have fell over dead (i'm to old for stuff like this to be happening to me)
Now get this,he had to make like 5 call all over the place because this was new to the area.
This person said yes ,this person said we can but it wont work, the next said ,this, that and the other.
In the end he had both line running 12.0 DSL
I will not give his name on the open board but COEBRA is the man
and
I will now openly say to all that have had the patiences to read this post
In large part to COEBRA
I Like My ISP "WindStream commutation"
http://www.windstream.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
On a side note
i do like COEBRA and he has been out to the game room many times, and im sure will be out in the future.
Thank you COEBRA for taking a little extra time.
