Sometimes I hate my friends...

Ok, so I've got this friend who is basically computer illiterate. And every time anything at all goes wrong he calls me. He wanted me to install some hardware for him, and they get's belligerent about some utility that comes along with it and how he can't get to go away. That's why sometimes I hate my friends.

Yep, same here. My buddy's comp ALWAYS gets loaded with viruses and spyware and eventually dies...

My dad is probably the worst, he uses a macbook, and he had the touch pad set so if you double click something fast, it will lock the icon to your mouse so you can move it.

Both my mom and dad kept accidentally hitting the pad twice without knowing and dragging things off the dock. If you drag things off, the shortcut gets deleted, so they figured they deleted the application itself. So my dad would try to reinstall office and not completely remove it in the first place. So he would get loads of problems. It was a mess, my dad would end up breaking things, and pounding his firsts on the counters etc.

He tried to blame mac for giving him a faulty track pad, and was going to take it to mac and more than likely pay for them to even look at it, so I was forced to fix it, and lose the entertainment

What about the phone calls all the time, "Hey, How do you do this? Ok now this isnt working." I always tell people that I do pc work for, family included to go get Windows XP/Vista for Dummies.

The ABSOLUTE worst is my step mom trying to sync her iPod. She never does it right, then phones me and asks how to do it. To which I reply, click the button. Then she doesnt notice the bar on the top of iTunes that says syncing...

Actually her trying to do anything on any comp pc or mac sucks! When trying to download a youtube vid (with the easiest converter I could find) she phoned me a couple times telling my it says "ulr" not found. Well it turned out it was because in the box where you type the link, she didnt erase the "http://" thats already in there. So her link was "http://http://www.youtube.com...etc"

If it weren't for the computer illiterate, those of us that do know a few things about them wouldn't have anything to do
