What extra precautions should i take when I flash lots drive
What extra precautions should i take when I flash lots of drives? I have done lots drives and so far I have 100% success in flashing thanks guys for the great work. When I flash using iprep or jungleflasher, I tend to grab the dvd key, write it down on a piece of paper. Shut down copy backup folder boot back up and then run the program again and make sure I have the correct key. Is this necessary? I mean making sure I have a backup before flashing is necessary but what about double checking the dvd key twice? Will it ever be bad as it hasn't so far? I heard liteons could be bad but I've used iprep instead of jungleflasher for that. thanks

Your steps sounds good. Most important thing is the key. Without the key, your customer's xbox will be garbage.
Writing down is a good idea, I wrote mine down on masking tape and stuck them on the drive itself, putting the tape on the console itself would probably be better...
As for the FW its a good idea to upload to a remote host. IE: Email it to yourself, FTP it to your website, upload to rapidshare and make private... Burning is also a good idea, because then you can give the original FW to your customer.
Some drives will just crap out, but they are easy to replace, where as if you lost the key, your pretty much f*'d

Making sure you have the right key is never a bad thing. I use jungleflasher alot and I use iprep alot. In both cases, I always check the key for validity. I don't write it down or anything though. And in the case of flashing a drive for someone else, when I'm done with it I always give them their drive files for them to keep. I mean, you never know what might happen, so I leave it in the drives owners hands to be responsible for. Over all, your procedure looks to be pretty good.
