Wolverine failed...

Post by Baja »

I just went out and bought xmen wolverine and tryed to back it up and it failed on me twice. I've never had an issue before and done lots of these. Its a wave 3 game being new so i ran abgx360 to test it. It said that there was trouble in the game partition and the .ini file didnt match theirs. I deleted it and tryed again and went straight to burn. It failed after 66%...
Anyone else having troubles?

Dont worry if the ini doesnt match theirs, thats fine. I have never had a game fail to copy at any percentage.

See if you have anything running in the background that may interfere with xbc. If possible, try your drive on another comp. Are you using a kreon or a 360 drive?

If you do an in-hand copy of the game, then you will get a good dump, it just may take a few times before you do. ABGX uses a database that even M$ has access to and my one day find a way to ban consoles based on those values.

as long as its a in-hand orig game dump
go into abgx360
in the options tab
put a check in "disable all online function"

you should not let abgx360 change anything about your iso
other than the angle
if it has a bad one.

ya see thats what i thought too.. I dont like the idea of another program re-building my file, just doesnt sit right..
The game was brand new! i bought it, cracked it open, and backed it up before i even tryed it. The strange thing is i downloaded that "schtrom 360 extract" and ran that. it worked flawlessly. no changes needed, game content was there. ive just got a couple reservations about it cause it goes SSOOOO fast. everything i have read on here since i started last year was no faster than 4x for read and 2.4 for burn and it seems to go a hell of a lot faster than that.
again, it worked fine with no issues, so am i just goin out of my mind worrying about nothing?

there are people that dump at faster speed on xbc

That is just what i do
i dump at 4x speed and burn at no faster than 2.4x speed.

burning at that speed or slower is important.
the speed that you dump is up to you
i just think i get a better dump at 4x speed.

as while im dumpping or burnning a game
i dont do a lot on that pc.like running other stuff

I found that if I do anything on my comp while backing up/burning I get a bad dump/burn

Also, cofree if you disable all online functions wont that stop it from downloading and checking your games crc?

it will stop all the internet function

as long as it is from a "in hand orig dump"
doing the stealth check is just to be xtra-safe

even though we dont support it.
if you are messing with a iso that is from some other source than that
you most check everything about it
with the online function on.
that iso will need all the help it can get to keep you from being banned

all my back ups are right from original. but this bad crc seems to be haunting me. i finally get wolverine to work and now ufc is givin me a hard time. i didnt even try it yet! just want to make a back up so my kid doesnt ruin the original and another bad crc.
is it the wave 3 thats messin with me? i just re-formatted my computer, could i be missin a program or somethin for it to run right? xbc wont even open cause of a runtime error.. could this all be related?
