Re: liteon key
You did eject the drive first and set it to halfway open? Take us through your steps and that'll give us a better idea of where to start.

Re: liteon key
Ok first, try to avoid capturing an image of your screen with a camera. Instead use the Print Screen Key on the top right of your keyboard. To use the image just paste it into any photo editing software. Just right click, then paste.
Now on to your lite-on. How do you have your CK3 connected to the PC? Serial or USB? Next, this is the first time this drive has ever been flashed right? It seems like iPrep isn't receiving any data from the CK3. If you're using the USB did you set up iPrep with the right COM port. If you're using serial it should be COM1, if USB it could be COM whatever.

Re: liteon key
hi,im using a rsr232 cable and yes its set to comm one, this xbox has never been flashed before i have a benq which was flashed when i got it,any ideas why ck3 is not sending information to the drive, would it be something in bios disabled,i disabled the onboard sata connetors in bios, thats all,il try again tonight when home, any ideas will be appreciated, cheers
Re: liteon key
Why would you disable the onboard sata connectors? Those should be enabled. I guess the next thing to check would be your cable to make sure that it's a null (or straight-thru) cable and not a crossover.

Re: liteon key
thanks for reply, firstly i disabled the onboard sata as i was getting a stack overflow error message and couldnt proceed,i seen a post to disable onboard sata and this worked, not getting error message after the 1234567 12345 stage, but now im getting the invalid key and back to the c prompt as in the picture,i think theres a setting error somewhere in bios i tried settings back to default as another post said, then the stack overflow error appeared again,i beleive the rs232 is the correct one,any other ideas on the bios settings or that stackover flow message,i really want to crack this, cheers guys
Re: liteon key
Are you using a VIA card? If not then you may need to set your on board sata ports to Legacy mode.

Re: liteon key
hi,yes using a via card 6421a,iprep is picking this up fine and listing my primary port as 80 which i have the sata cable contacted to,my comm is 1 and i only have one comm port on the pc this also showing up ok on iprep, the problem seems to start in bios after i boot onto my flash drive and get to the 1234567 12345 enter part,i followed the tutorial to the letter, but still get that error, when i get to the y prompt to make sure drive open half way powered on,probe in etc as soon as i hit y for yes i get the invalid key part and error as the previous picture shows,ps just to confirm using connectivity kit v3 pro with probe,im still stubbed on this error?cheers ps quick update tried bios again in default sata board ports enabled and got the stack overflow error now,any ideas on how to fix this error message as i tried the default settings settings fix as suggested in another post, this is turning into a nightmare guys

Re: liteon key
Your port number should be a four digit combination. Like E880 or D610, something similar to that. Next I would say, try setting up the drive and probe prior to turning on your pc. Have the drive half-way out, probe inserted, with the power to the CK3 on and ready. Then power on your pc and boot to your flash drive. Then while probe is still inserted do the dlit 1234657 12345

Re: liteon key
ok will try that in morning, any idea whats is causing stack overflow error message, when i enable my sata ports in bios with them disabled no stack overflow error but have the other problem invalid key as in the picture?

Re: liteon key
It could be an IRQ conflict, but I've never seen that message in DOS. Or a memory shortage, possible but highly unlikely if your running anything more than 128MB in DOS.

Re: liteon key
hi,tried again with getting drive ready and powered on with prob in as soon as i type in dlit 1234567 12345 enter then the if ready type y as soon as i hit y i get the stack overflow error i even removed my dvd rw drive ,and bios was in default any ideas or can you suggest another method which might be successful?thanks
Re: liteon key
At this point that only thing I can suggest is to use Jungle Flasher. To do that follow these steps:
1. Leave your BIOS at default
2. Disable your VIA drivers by entering the Device Manager selecting disable on the VIA card, rename the drivers, and then re-enable the card from the device manager, you should get a yellow ! sign. If not just restart your pc. The file should be here C:\Windows\System32\drivers\viamraid.sys or vsmriad.sys , just change the extension.
3. Install PortIO32 from the Jungle Flasher 0.1.59 folder, which can be found in our downloads section.
4. Verify you have the appropriate .Net installed with the utility from JF.
5. Now follow this Tutorial on Flashing the lite-on.
http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... 195&t=3672" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's for an older JF but is essentially the same.
