Lose the modding after online updating !?

Hi everyone,

I bought an xbox lite 60GB with a Lite-on drive already modded. It was working fine with my backup games but it has the previous dashboard.

So I decide to connect the 360 online to update it. The dashboard was updated successfully but the 360 now can't play my backup games. Although, I don't have the original firmware and keys .

My questions :
1- Is the problem deals with updating ( to play backup games )?
2- Is the problem connected with reign stuff ( the firmware should be as the original firmware) and the games must be region free?
3- Can I downgrade the 360 to original dashboard (old one) , and how ?

There are no updates that interfere with playing backups at the moment.

You wouldn't have the original firmware of a lite-on anyway. There are alot of people that would like to have that. Having the key on the otherhand is something that can be done.

Games must be region free or region coded for your region or they just won't work.

You can not downgrade to the original dashboard at this time. Don't know if it will ever be possible either.

The problem is going to be with either the backup media or the laser of the drive loosing power and not being able to read as good as it once did.
