Hitachi 47 flashing Probs ???

Hi Guys,

I flashed my mates Hit 47 a while ago using ix 1.4 and everything has been fine, just upgraded it to 1.51 using JF and now it seems to play originals but not backups it just says "open tray".

all backups are on verbatim disks but non of them play, any ideas ?????

Are you sure the flash went all the way through?

Since you have to restore the firmware to stock with hitachi drives, it's possible
that you restored to stock, and the flash didn't take.
You may want to run through it again, just to be certain.

yeh i have, done it 3 times now even went back to the backup but still nothing.

I have a ghost image of my pc on my laptop, im going to restore my pc in case the fault lies there.....watch this space

it sounds like it dont have a hacked firmware in it

Just spoofed a samsung and it worked first go, do you think it may be a prob with the hitachi chips ???

you say "sorted" however how did you Resolve the problem as it may help others. please explain. Reason i ask as well is because I am in the same situation despite the fact not having updated my hit 47dj to 1.5(1) yet so i would appreciate your feedback. with this in mind, how did you spoof the samsung? I understand you have to use the iso disk if your updating the firmware from 1.4 to 1.5-1.6 if the samsung drive is already spoofed. thanks in advance

The resolution was to spoof a benq and replace the hitachi. I have seen this problem before, at least once before if not twice. They ended with the same result. Spoof in a different drive.
