New DVD Drive for a Samsung Xbox 360

My BenQ has the e74 error. I've tried about 5 times to fix it and keeps going back. So, I'm looking to buy a new xbox.

I've found someone on craigslist who is selling an xbox with the Samsung drive for $50. The only problem is the drive is bad. What is required for putting in a new Samsung drive? Is there spoofing, or can I just flash on the old firmware and use the new new drive?

stay away from it mate. theres no way to fix it if the drive has gone bad (if its a bad flash) as you won't be able to extract the key. only worth buying if you needed the parts. Unless its just the laser which is knackered then you can dump it but i'd be wary.

is your seals still in tact if so send it back to M$ it will be coverd by 3 year warrenty if not modded
