How do I boot from USB memory stick

Using iPrep 008.9 + V1.51 benq firmware "ix151-benq.bin" Windows xp media edition.
CoFree's tut works great until I come to boot from memory stick, I've even unplugged all Hardrives and DVD Roms still no joy. Any help would be great.

Sorry if this a dupe thread but I did look first.

well when you boot your computer do you get an option to press f12? if so press it and then select removable. If not go into your bios and there is a section called boot sequence look in that and then change that 2 removable. should be fine after that.

you should try looking in the bios with a iprep made usb boot flash plugged in the pc.
some pc will not give you the option unless there is a boot flash plugged in.

can it not be done the way i said for all computers or is that just specific to my pc?

you are right.
but if he has to go into the bios then all the dells ive messed with will not even give you a usb boot option unless the is
a usb boot drive in the pc when i go into the bios

Mine boots automatically, It says boot sequence has changed press F1 to continue, I press F1 and it boots to USB, Obviously its plugged in the machine before I boot though.

Thanks guys, finaly got it working. I had to use the F8 key to get into boot options, then it gave me 2 options "Boot from hardrive or CD-Rom" after picking Hardrive it then gave me the option of the USB. All went well and the benq is working great on all games

F12 just booted me into windows but it did trigger my memory about F8, maybe it's F8 for UK I duno.

Love the tut's CoFree just gota get my head around the accent

Nice work Mackum, Its great when people actually get it done for first time, its nice to hear.

Id like to bet it was alot easier than you thought was it ? LoL Its basically all on screen for you to follow aint it ? Just watch that Crocodile of a 360 case mate, It will have your hand off if you not carefull

P.S Im in the Uk aswell in Durham, On my PC Im sure its F12 but hey what the hell least its all good !

Was easier than I thought m8 yes just the boot usb held me up half a day, pulling my hair out.
Wish I comw here first. Tried Team Excuters tuts first I think there a bit out dated.
One fella localy is charging £45 a pop to flash drives and he's busy as hell.
Might jump on the band wagon and make a few quid now I'm a pro

the funny thing is man
all of my fathers family is from GA.
they live only a few hours from where they shot that film
years ago.

I was named after a movie john wayne played in call "Hatari"
in that movie his name was shaun

now you know what my name is shaun wayne ******

Mackum when I said Crocodile of a 360 case coz it keeps chewing my fingers to bits everytime I open the thing. Even though I have the screwy kit now I still end up with blood all over the drive
