BenQ Locked Up (Single Flashing Green Light)
BenQ Locked Up (Single Flashing Green Light)
Hello All,
I have been browsing basically the internet for my problem as of late. My benq drive seems to be locked up even after a successful flash. I have used JF and iPrep and they both said everything went fine. Although when i unplug everything and hook it back up to the 360 boot up the drive and i get a single flashing light on the xbox saying the drive is unresponisve i cant eject or do anything. Now the dvd drive is not fried because it still can be reconigzed in JF and iPrep. I just cant seem to figure it out. Here are some more details
- The BenQ i am currently using is a replacement drive im trying to install from my broken one.
- Yes i do have the OFW.
- I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP
Thanks Guys.

It sounds like it wasn't spoofed completely. Dump the firmware from the drive your talking about and check the key.

What technoe said is probably right, but it could also be that one of the two plugs that goes from your DVD drive to your 360's motherboard is not plugged in all the way.

Your best bet is to try what technoe said.
Couldnt be, if it were the sata, the xbox would not flash the green light (indicating the drive is open or opening) if it were the power plug the drive would power up, or if it did, the drive would be fried.wrightnjagr568 wrote:What technoe said is probably right, but it could also be that one of the two plugs that goes from your DVD drive to your 360's motherboard is not plugged in all the way.

That's not necessarily true either, if the power cable is plugged in upside down inside the 360 then you'll get the rrod as soon as you turn on your 360.HaGGardSmurf wrote:

Wouldnt upside down result in a fried drive?technoe wrote:That's not necessarily true either, if the power cable is plugged in upside down inside the 360 then you'll get the rrod as soon as you turn on your 360.HaGGardSmurf wrote:

Not in the 360. it has some type of safeguard to prevent the destruction of the drive and the motherboard for that matter. It may not be so on older boards but I had a 203Watt system come in the other day where that was the only thing wrong with it. The dvd power cable was in upside down on the drive.

Really? Thats pretty cool... It must be on the new boards, because I fried my ms28 which was my very first console, bought not long after launch.

Re: BenQ Locked Up (Single Flashing Green Light)
hey guys, I have almost the same problem, except a different color >.>
I have the 1 red light in the bottom right hand corner, and e65. I've read it means a drive error or bad firmware. But I've gotten firmware to correctly load through iPrep. Any help?
