Hey guys, I am new to modding wii's. and I have a bunch of question I hope u can answer.

1) What is the difference between soft mod and hard mod?

2) Does the soft mod allow backup games to be played?

3) Does the soft mod require a chip?

4)What does the homebrew channel do?

I just bought a wii and I want to mod it.

hard mod means chipping your wii soft mod is software
2) Does the soft mod allow backup games to be played?
you can play backups on both but some wont work with a soft mod
3) Does the soft mod require a chip?
no
4)What does the homebrew channel do?
The Homebrew Channel is a channel for launching Wii homebrew applications without the need to run the Twilight Hack
I just bought a wii and I want to mod it.

i would recomend using the Wasabi DX chip
