120GB hard Drive Upgrade

I know this has been asked before but which is the hard drive that i need to buy? I know its a western digital but thats all i know lol

EDIT: by the way im upgrading to a 120GB hard drive not anything above because i know you cant do that lol

You can probably find it in stores, but its easier to link you to the hdd so you can get whatever info you need.

I just got the microsoft one from gamestation, was 85 quid brand new but I got the transsfer kit with it, you dont get it with the lesser size HD, If its not the microsoft one your after then I aint a clue which will work with a 360.

I aint a clue Louis mate youl have to hope some1 who sees your thread may be able to help you out, Thats pretty cheap that like so if it works its deffo worth it like, 30 quid. See I have this BT wireless net adapter and I read all over the net you can use 3rd party wireless adapters so I tryed it and it dont work, so I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists at Microsoft before I handed over the rip off amount of 60 quid for their tiny piece of plastic, LoL. So yer I never thought about the 3rd party HD so I got the official 360 120 gig one for 85 quid, Its ok like coz it was a birthday gift so I couldnt begrudge MS. Like I said you get the transfer kit coz Im preuming with the 3rd part HD how will you transfer all your save games, Arcade games etc etc ? This is where you may become stuck unless you wanna start everything from nothing

Should work fine as long as you have a 120GB ss.bin to flash to it.

Where can i find this ss.bin file, or must i dump it off an original 120GB hard drive?

EDIT: I had a look on xbins inside the hdd tools folder and inside the hddhacker folder i found a hddss.bin file, is that the one i need?

Also will i need the hddhacker program?

hddhacker won't come with either actual bin file. The only answer that I can provide to follow RHPG rules is to tell you to dump an hddss.bin from another official 120,60 or 20GB drive. Keep in mind, that if you flash a 120GB drive with a 60 or 20GB hddss.bin, it will only use 60 or 20GB of drive space total.

Yup, sure will. Thats what you would use to dump the hddss.bin and then flash it to your scorpio drive.
