yes can anybody help me i bought a VIA-VT6421A CHIPSET i installed it to my computer it says it says found new hardware but does not install the drivers

yeah man put disc in but dont let it auto boot , explore the cd and go to the via folder then set it up manually .

when i got my via card (same 1 ) it for some reason will not install with the autoboot function

lol i do it is a mini disk and it does not install the drivers

hey i had the same problem, as the drivers that came with my via card would not install on vista (bought from tekgems). I had to go to the manufacturers site to get vista driver (and no they would not install with setting to xp either). I think i explored the mini cd and found either a .htm or .txt file that had the manufacturers site or name.

when i go to device manger i see it say via raid controller 3249 does that mean it is installed and when i go to iprep it says the same the thing

Yeah, the later via drivers name it as a 3249. Nothing to worry about.

Yip, it should say primary port. Use the internal port on the card (the one nearest the front of your pc)

yes i have everything hooked up to my liteon drive the ck3 and probe when i go to power on the ck3 it does not power on i have the rs232 cable conntect to the back of my computer do i need a a 4 pin molex power adapter to power on ck3 i have pic of how 4 pin molex power adapter looks like

Yes, you would need to connect a 4 pin molex to your CK3 to power it. Without that, it won't have any power to run the drive or anything else for that matter.

i have one more question were is the r707 hole on the liteon drive is it the 1 hole or 2 hole if anybody can tell me
