CK3 probe is permanently green

Was flashing a liton, went to get the key, got an error now the probe lights are permanently on both blue and green.
Is there a fix for this or is the probe shagged ??? Thanks

You could try taking the probe off and use the original power cable it came with to rig a home made probe to see if it's the probe. If you set up the home made probe and the CK3 doesn't work, it probably is hosed. I would suggest contacting the place you bought it from to see about an RMA in any case.

Purchased my ck3 lite from the same place and they couldn't have been more helpful when it went kaput and sent a new one out free of charge when i sent the bust one back so they should be spot-on. After reading Team Xecuter's forum it seems to be a fault with the probe, Tut looks simple dale but I have 5 thumbs and no patients. If anyone in the South Shields area has a probe for 5 mins I would be greatfull, I was selling a xbox today but I need it flashed cheers guys.

Got my new kit today, wired ck3 up to the drive I was working on, but there is no life coming from the drive. (Can't eject) Dont know if it's fried or just needs restoring so pic included and here's what I done when the probe broke.
I was using iprep 9 went through the tut as normal backed up data, but when i tried to flash it said error cant read or something to that effect. Any how Thats when I got the lites on the probe both on.
Now I've started up JF and I'm getting this reading in the pic below, I'm hoping it's some sign of life. If anyone can point me in the right direction i'd be a happy man cheers Mac.

Looks good so far, now just press the Get etc.... button and let JF do it's thing. It should return 6 identical keys which of course JF will check. If that's the case then you can now continue on with flashing it.

As soon as I tried to extract the key got a small electric flicker, the drive door moved but then the probe lights were both permanently on. The ck3 wont recognize any drive and only com port 1 now as if it's shorted out. GUTTED.

When you say you received the kit did you buy the ck3 and probe bundle or did you just get the probe replaced??
Might you have plugged it into the liteon upside down by any chance? (easily done on the Liteons as they're an easy fit compared to other drives) If its the older style without the pptc circuit it might be fried. If not you may just have a duff one. Might be worth emailing or ringing the suppliers again and telling them the problem to see if they'll exchange it.

It was a new kit the pro one, the 2 grooves are at the top of the power plug if your looking at it the right way up. There's only one way it will fit. Whats got me puzzled is that when I touched the 07 hole the tray moved but then the bropes lites were both on but no drive or port afterwards. And the chip to the left of the USB on the ck3 unit was hot to touch.

It sounds as if there is an over voltage going through the r707 if you've got it hooked up right. If you have a multi-meter, power up the drive, connect the red probe to r707 and the black to a ground and see what kind of voltage is going through there if any. It should be very very minimal if anything at all.

Father inlaw should have 1 he's a sparky. I tried the drive back in the xbox but no signs of life I got another new replacement ck3 but I aint going near that drive.
I do have a redundant Sammy drive so will I be able to spoof that one into the console ? I have no key though.

Was your probe replaced or only your ck3?
Can you see about tracking down another lite-on from a friend or something?

Whole kit was replaced, I have liton key numbers from other drives I've flashed can I use one to spoof a sammy drive into the console where the broken liton came from ? Thanks.
