Reflashing TS-H943

Post by TheLittleGuy »

Hey guys I just first wanted to say thanks for the site Ive already saved my X-box from it and I'm very greatful for that! But now I'm trying to save my friends it doesn't always read burned games, He has a TS-H943 that he bought off of craigslist, it was already flashed when we got it but we have no idea what firmware is on it, all we know is its not 1.6.

So I'm looking for some help on upgrading the firmware on it, Ive been looking for the tutorials for it but all i could find was flashing it when it has no firmware i don't know if its the exact same thing or is there a different way in doing a upgrade, if so how do i do it?

Thanks for reading!

Cheers.

Reflashing it should be pretty easy. Basically you treat it like a drive that has never been flashed before. So if you follow the tutorial on flashing a samsung, you should be fine.

Thank you very much! How would i go about backing up the firmware on there right now, like the dummy.bin and the other ones?

a ts-h943 is a samsung drive and won't give you a dummy.bin. It will give you a sam-ofw.bin and a sam-cfw.bin. The ofw will be the firmware thats on the drive at the time you dump it. The cfw will be the new hacked firmware created using the ofw.
