Spoof Samsung to Hitachi to use FW 1.6

I have an Xbox 360 that I just got with a Hitachi Drive. I'm being impatient and want to play wave 3 games and since there is not 1.6 for the hitachi yet I want to know if there is anyway I can spoof a Sammy MS28 into the console and get it on FW 1.6.

My thoughts are that I would have to spoof the Sammy with Hitachi FW, and since there is not 1.6 yet for this drive then I will be stuck in the same place with only being able to load 1.5 ixtreme.

Can someone please confirm?

I think that you are correct. You couldn't spoof the 1.6 into the hitachi. You can still use 1.51. Your backups should be fine if ripped from originals, but you could always dbl check with ABGX360.

Use 1.51 for the hitachi, you can play 3rd wave games with it. 1.51 was out like a week and a half after 3rd wave games...

If you still want to spoof your samsung into your hitachi console, its easy...

Dump both drives, save both FW's (Im assuming your Samsung is from another console, so you will probably want the key)
Open Jungle Flasher
Load your hitachi OFW as source, then load your samsung 1.6 ixtreme as target.
Click spoof source to target
Click Save Firmware

Now hook up your Samsung, and flash the CFW with either jungle flasher, or iprep.

Any benefit of using the Sammy as opposed to the Hitachi? I thought I read somewhere that the Hitachi's don't read burnt medias that well. True?
