Hey guys 1 of my 360 drives is getting bad now. i was looking at the ck3 site which was recomended by a freind as hes getting a new drive from there. i see the samsungs are pretty cheap. i hear tho that those drives allways play up when readiing backup games. Is this true??

i mean that ive heard that when the samsungs are flashed with ixtreme they wont allways boot backups first time. ive heard that with ix1.6 people have had trouble and have had to go back to 1.51. or mite just be there drives are on the way out. lol. i dunno i thought id best ask 1st b4 buying 1.

thats happend to me before. The samsung wouldnt read games (backups) but i think the drive was knackerd. And yeah your best going with a benq drive mate.

All drives work fine. Its based on opinion which drive you like... I prefer benq, lite-on's are just as good, and they are quieter, reason I like benq's over them are the ease of flashing...

The reason you may hear from people samsung's suck is that samsung's are the first drive to be used in 360's therefore if your buddys have a samsung flashed with ixtreme in their console, the drive is probably pretty old, so the laser is probably pretty weak...

Any drive you buy will work great, as the laser will be brand new, and able to read things w/o a problem.
