finishin the lite-on W

hi guys im trying to finish a lite-on in dosflash and when i get to the
(W) it tells me that "firmware file is not present" ? i used new jf to get
the 4 files the made a cfw named lite_cfw.bin put that in the root of my usb flash
it erased fine but wouldnt write ? then i rebooted and checked the BACKUPS folder but theres no
fw in them ? iv tried it for a couple of hours now and needed some advice :D

so do you have the cfw from JF? If not, if you saved the log file from JF, you could create a new cfw using they key from that, but you would have to put in the serial data manually. If you have the cfw in the dosflash directory, make sure your specifying the file name correctly to.

by manually u mean getting all the numbers from inside the drive ?
if so i got them before i did the flash, while the drive was open :D

it seems that most lite-on need that little extra work lately
and u have to put the fw serials in to build it correctly ? just
gota remember the process now :?
im seeing a lot of older drives l8ly (love the sammys)

jf has changed loads since ghosts tut :? how do i get there

Should be about the same. Open as source, and follow the guide. I haven't had to do that in a while though so I could be wrong.

got it done this afternoon i re-did the serial info and it said it was identical then i renamed the cfw to
Lite_CFW
dummy_fixed - left as is
Lite_cfw.bin - i had no luck using this earlier
and put all 3 in the root of usb
and i know which should have worked but ?
and im not sure which did ?
but its done now, and thanks for the help guys :)

im not looking forward to finding 1 of those new lite-ons...
