Spoof Samsung on to Hitachi or other way around?

hello ALl,

I am having a serious issue with a possible bad flash on my Hitacgi 0079FL. I have a post about it but noone has been able to help. I have a blank Samsung MS25 . I would like to know if I can take the ORIGINAL FW from Hitachi and spoof to Samsung and then flash the spoofed samsung as Hitachi and hopefully if possible, resolve my problem. I dont know if this can be done. ANY answers are appreciated.

Yes. You can do this. Instructions would depend on what software you're going to use to flash with. For jungleflasher, you would open your original hitachi firmware as the source, then open the ixtreme 1.6 firmware as the target. Then click spoof source to target. Save the file as this will be your hacked firmware. Then go to the MTKFlash 32 tab and flash it.

Thats great news. I would like some detailed steps if possibe.

I got this down:

- Load HITACHI ORIGIANL FW as Source

-As target I place samsung 1.6

- Click Spoof

-Then in MTK Flash it does not detect the samsung drive. Is this norm, I knw it is blank so It should right?

Hey All,

I believe I spoofed my Samsung drive to act be recognized as a Hitachi 79. Great news. Now how do I flash to play copied games? I tried the Hitachi tab in JF and did not work.

If you used the ixtreme 1.6 samsung firmware as the target, you should be set to play backups. The hitachi tab won't work on samsungs. Even if you spoof a samsung to a hitachi, it's still a samsung and dumps and flashes the same way.
