I've been trying to flash my refurb benq 360 after getting 2 rrod this very same week on both my other consoles :( ...I was attempting to use IPREP 10/ 1.6 ixtreme/via card (thats i used to flash to other 360s) and the very same usb (cruzer 4gb)...Everything appears to load accordingly onto the usb but when i attempt to boot into windows using the usb I get this message on the screen...

VERIFYING DMI POOL DATA....

REMOVE DISKS OR OTHER MEDIA
PRESS ANY KEY TO RESTART

(I have everything ungpluged (hdd, dvdrom, no floppy, just the usb) so I hit enter as stated)

then it says...
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PERSS ENTER...

I'M STARTING TO REALLY STRESS BEING THAT I'VE BEEN HAVING A BAD MICROSOFT WEEK AND AM NOW SEARCHING TO SEE IF THIS CAN BE FLASHED BY CD/DVDROM...
PLEASE HELP WITH THIS SITUATION AS I HAVE SEARCHED EVERYWHERE FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW AND CAME UP WITH NOTHING!! :(

You have to make sure that your bios will allow you to boot from a usb device.(That's why it says enter system disc and reboot.)
