Was Going Fine Then...

Post by Iceman22 »

I have a DG-16D2S-09C FW: 83850C. I was following all the steps in the 83850 & JunglerFlasher v0.1.59 Beta PDF's and all seem to be going fine. When I got to the end of the 83850 pdf and jumped back to the JunglerFlasher v0.1.59 Beta page 15 I thought the drive tray should be closed as it did really say what to do. I them proceeded to erase the drive and this is what I got.

Sending Lite-on Erase Request to Port 0xEFF0
Drive Returned Status 0x72
Manufacturer ID 0x0
Device Intro Failed

No the drive is just light is just flashing and I can't seem to continue. Any advice out there for a dumb a$$

Incase someone else has this problem here is how I fixed it. I tried a lot of things but what finally did the trick was physically opening the drive and manually ejecting the tray and then plugged back to computer and opened JF and was able to do the write. I use to use dos16 so JF is new to me and I think my problem started when I erased the drive with the tray closed.

After all is said and done I was able to play my originals and my back-ups.

Thanks to all you guys that put so much time into this for us and for anyone that is new to flashing read 5x and take it slow and stop when something doesn't seem right.

I started to but when I got to "You will need to make a bootable usb device either usb or floppy ( usb device is much better)
once you have done that open the device up

1) You will see a folder called backups you will need to open that folder. and create another folder called 1234567
2) Open that folder and create another folder called 12345
3) Copy and paste into that folder your custom firmware that you made in Jungle Flasher "litcfw.bin"

I didn't really understand what program I was to do this with since making a bootable disk in Windows does not create folders like backups so I just continued to the physically open the drive and thought that I might be able to continue with JF and it worked so I am a happy gamer now.
