XBC, Am I doing somethign wrong?

Post by Mattyperea »

I currently picked up a kreon drive, And i tried to rip my first backup using XBC..

I got alot of errors that looked like this

Block error recovered at Partition LBA: 564928
Block error recovered at Partition LBA: 565360
Block error recovered at Partition LBA: 572480
Block error recovered at Partition LBA: 576528
Block error recovered at Partition LBA: 581488
Block error recovered at Partition LBA: 587872
Block error recovered at Partition LBA: 590224
Block error recovered at Partition LBA: 591024
Block error recovered at Partition LBA: 603312

But there was a lot more..

Is it something I am doing wrong?

Im using a SH-D163B Drive to read the discs, and XBC to rip them.

And i tried to stealth them with ABGX..
Everything looked smooth with the abgx log, but at the end of it.. it looked something like this..

Video CRC matches
V0 CRC matches
V1 CRC matches
PFI CRC matches
DMI CRC matches
SS CRC matches
Xex CRC matches
Checking Game CRC... (press Q to cancel)
Percent Elapsed Estimated Time Average Current Errors Total
Done Time Time Left Speed Speed Recovered Retries
100% 1:53 1:53 0:00 61.2 MB/s 78.6 MB/s
AnyDVD style corruption was not detected
Game CRC = DEC6D0F0
Game partition CRC does not match the verified ini! There are 4 possibilities:

1. This is a bad rip (the most likely cause). If you're checking a DVD backup
and have AnyDVD or a similar app installed, make absolutely sure the process is
killed! If this is a scene release, search for it on abgx.net and look at the
column "Bad CRC or Needs Fixing". If you see a <!> icon, hover over it with
your mouse to read the alt text. If it says something like "Bad game data CRC"
or gives the name of a fix (PPF patch), we already know about it. It's also
highly recommended to run abgx360 again with AutoFix set to level 3 if you
applied a PPF to make sure stealth files haven't been corrupted. See "What is
AnyDVD style corruption?" in the GUI Quickstart tab for more info on game data
corruption.
2. Your CPU/RAM/HDD/data bus is unstable and corrupted the data during
extraction/burning or while checking the CRC. Make sure to run the sfv and try
extracting it again (assuming you have the sfv/rars) and recheck the ISO/DVD to
see if you get the same CRC.
3. Game data was intentionally modified for some reason. Microsoft does not
take kindly to modifications for any purpose, and even benign changes to game
data or settings will get you banned from Xbox Live!
4. The verified Game CRC in the database is wrong (very unlikely).
Stealth was verified but game data wasn't
Press any key to exit . . .

Im still pretty new to this, so im not exactly sure what a proper rip looks like.

This is what my XBC log looked like.. (there was definitely alot more of the "block error" messages, I deleted most of them because it was taking alot of space.)

Try using schtrom v4. Available here: http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... f=112&t=48" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . When you bought the drive did it say kreon was on it or kreon compatible as you may need to put the firmware on yourself? I dont use xbc but i seem to remember something about unlocking the drive or something?

How do I actually tell if kreon 1.0 is installed on it?

I just tried to rip a game using Schtrom 4 and It started to rip.. after it got to 3%.. it said "There is no disk in the drive"

Disc was good.
What I did was just power down, Unplug the drive, and then replace the sata cable and rebooted..

It seemed to solve my problem..
Thanks for the quick replys guys,
