New version of Lite-on 8000 series firmware

Post by KASS »

Apparently M$ have updated the firmware on the 83850c lite-ons all 360's will soon have these new lite-ons onboard, just to state this is not the 83850c version that you need to use key encryption on, it is a completely new version!!!!!

This is what c4eva has to say at the moment,
Quote:

"the new 838 liteon will be dumped and examined in the next several days - drive has no key output - stay tuned for more info"

They are only in repaired 360's at the mo but wiil soon hit retail!!

They will be cracked, there always needs to be a way for your console to get the key, so in theory there will always be a way for us to get the key.

The way I think of it is, for every 1 person working on security, there are 100 trying to crack it.
