Hello everyone. I am trying to flash a Lite-on 74 using a CK3 Pro kit and iprep. I'm pretty sure I downloaded all the correct files and drivers but when I try to extract the key files I get the following errors.
Source Firmware not found
File not found - KEY.BIN
File not found - L74DUM.BIN
Drive firmware reading failed
Double check all connections.
Can anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong and if possible explain how the CK3 Pro is supposed to be connected. Thank you

When you bought the pro kit did you also buy an r232 serial lead as iprep can't use the usb connection and are you using a via 6421 card?

Re: Problems Flashing Lite-on 74
I bought the rs232 cable at Radioshack today and I had bought a VIA Raid Controller 3249 awhile back. Another thing too, where do I connect the other end of the rs232 cable? I can't figure that part out for the life of me.

1 end goes in the ck3 and the other on your com port on the back of your pcSlick wrote:I bought the rs232 cable at Radioshack today and I had bought a VIA Raid Controller 3249 awhile back. You'll have to use jungleflasher as its capable of using the usb connection. Disable the via card drivers if you're planning on using it instead of your onboards though.

Thanks to all your help I was finally able to do the lite on. I borrowed a buddies PC that had com ports. Was very easy to do. Thanks again for all your help guys.

Glad you got it sorted slick. Don't foget to keep a couple of copies of your dumped firmware for safety. Top job.
