Cant flash samsung ms28

Hey can someone tell me what i've done wrong plz?


1. define drive (samsung ms28)
2. dload fw (xbin53)
3. format flashdrive make bootable (XBM)
4. boot into flash drive (with PCI SATA card connected)
5. connect xbox to sata card
6. xRead along with serial (turn off xbox, press 3 wait 10sec and turn xbox on)
7. xFlash along with serial (do 10sec trick again)

Don't get me wrong, many people use XBM to flash sammy's, I think most people here use iPrep....

Did you get a dump from the drive, and did it show as primary master??

If you did get a dump, check that the key is valid in FWToolbox before you flash, if the dump was bad and you flash with it, you have a nifty DVD player

I would check this tutorial before you give it a whirl, just to be sure.

even if you want to use the non-stealth.

Well its kind of late because i flashed my drive without following any of the tutorials correctly and i messed it up (E65 Error), plus the dumb ass i am i didtn even make a backup of my orig.bin, so iam kind of screwed now. Looking for places to repair the drive now.

do a dump of the drive now
if it dont have a good key in it its over.
you now own a dvd player only

you need to "dump" the firmware in the drive .then check it with firmware toolbox and hope to all that is that there is a good key in it.if there is not a good key its over.
a good key will be different letters ans numbers.not a lot of the same thing.

When ever i try to dumb the fw, as soon as i turn off the 360 and press 3 i get a noise. From there on i cant do anything even when i turn the 360 back nothing happens. The noise last until i turn off my computer. I tried different ports on the sata card and no luck.

thats the first thing you have to get the computer seeing the 360 dvd drive.
when it sees the drive it will be listed as xtreme pri master.

Yes it does see the drive. This didnt happen before i flashed it incorrectly.

if you are getting xtreme pri master and it still wont get in then
i dont know what to tell you.
it may be locked up.

Is it possible to get the drive key from the motherboard?

It is, but in order to do so, you have to have the hacked firmware flashed to the drive in order to boot the king kong game to run the hack stuff to perform the timing attack so you can dump the 360's nand and key vault. Basically, you have to have the dvd key to have access to the key vault. If you don't have that, you can't get the key vault.

it's either bricked! or... the drive might just be firmware locked & thats why you can't re-dump

try the enable0800 disc to see if you can initiate a 2nd dump to check your key
