flashing a lite on drive

OK here is my question i sent my xbox back to MS for repair witch had a benq drive so i am only filmier with those drives because the xbox they sent back to me is new even though i don't now what drive i have yet because i have not opened it yet but i am all most positive it is a lite on drive.I remember reading some where that there is a lite on drive that you don't need to use the (prob) with but cant remember what (version of lite on that was) :


Since i don't have a ck3 tool any more because it is toast don't work any more but i do have a usb extractor tool but have never used it before and don't know if it will even work on these lite on drives has any one ever used a usb extractor before and how it works and what software to use should i use extractor reader or something else any help would be every appreciated

Im not sure with the usb extractor, ive never used one but if you get a 8**** series lite on you will not have to use it or you might even have one of the unflashable 8**** series drives, the only way to know if it can be flashed is to try and flash it.

You could get the 7**** series drive back so you will need that extractor but im not sure how to use them so someone else might be able to help you there

If you get the new 9**** series drive then your outta luck mate, these have been discovered in taiwan i think and knowhere else, i dont think anyone on this forum have come accross one yet so i dont think we can help you with a 9**** series until the future. Let us know what drive you get so we can give you all the help you need

OK opened up the xbox and the drive is a liteon FW 74850C so i have to xtract the key first.
now is there any one out there that has used the usb xtractor before and what did you use to xtract the key xtractor reader or somthing else
