Did I brick my 360 or is the drive just locked?

Post by Fiddlefaddle »

I was flashing my BenQ with 1.61 using iPrep 10.7 and it was going fine up until the writing of the actual firmware. I had the tray open halfway and it read all the things it needed to and got my key but when it got to the screen that asks to turn the power off and then on then press a key, it messed up. I turned the power off, then on after 2 seconds but the tray closed. I pressed a button and the screen wouldn't continue. I tried to power cycle it again but now the 360 drive won't open and the power light on the 360 just blinks. I am going through the steps to flash it with dosflash as someone else said that it helps with a locked drive. I am just wondering if I totally screwed it up, cause I really hope not.

EDIT/UPDATE - The dosflash method worked perfectly.

Thanks for the tip Cofree, love your vids, helped me out insanely. I'm probably going to get one when the next wave comes out. I only have this one box and I won't do any of my friends boxes. I will definitely get one if they keep making new waves every couple of months though.
