Hi guys , plz plz i need your help , this is my 3rd post and no one helped me except one person (Darktron) appreciated but with no luck , plz guys , i know u have a lot exp in this field , my problem started when i was flashing my liteon 83850 with Iprep 10.7 , i have all the hardwares (CK3,Via sata card) , so Iprep hungs on writing bank 3 .... so i searched all the sites to get a solution for this problem , so i tried all the tutorials with no luck , i did what cofree did in his tutorial with no luck too , now my problem is that i keep getting FF80 , i tried everything even half and full tray open but same thing , so plz plz plz any help it would be appreciated , i know that your site is the best of getting help , but i dont know if this is my luck or not , again guys i really dont know what to do , i just wanna get out of the FF80 , and by the way , is that possible to erase the drive in jungle flasher and write it in dosflasher ? I hope getting answers soon , thnx in advance .

Well, you have gotten responses, but I know personally I have never heard of a lite-on hanging at bank 3...

If you have the OFW (key) just buy a new drive from ebay, it'll probably run you about $20-30 and you wont have to go through all this hassle... If you dont have your OFW, then there is no point in continuing to try and flash this drive, as your xbox will never play a 360 game again.

Also, this is your second topic asking the exact same question, just bump your old one if you still need help, and no one has replied. (this may be your third like you said, but i have only seen 2)

ok thnx your info , yah i have the key , cos when i opened my flash drive , i got a folder with six files inside , i think these r the files , right? and do i need to buy lite on to replace my drive or i any brand it will helps ! and which one is the best and easy working on it , thnx again haggard .

No you dont need a lite-on, if I were you, I would stay away from the lite-on's as they seem to give you problems with your current setup.

BenQ would be the way to go. Hitachi's are a pain in the ass to flash, and not the highest quality drives, every samsung I have seen has been worn out, and they are notorious for the drive tray sticking.

I love BenQ's they are VERY easy to flash, and have never had a problem with any, although some people say they are loud but tbh I haven't noticed, and hitachi's and samsung's are loud as well...

The file your looking for should be named dummy.bin or key.bin if you have either of those, your good. Open your dummy/key in jungle or FW toolbox to make sure you have a good key first before you buy a drive.

Also, best place to buy the drive is usually ebay, every place else tries to sell them for 40-60 bucks (before shipping) ive seen some sell on ebay for under 20 bucks (before shipping)

thnx again haggard for your info , ok am gonna by benq , by the way i checked my files , well i did the flash with Iprep not jungle flasher , but when i checked them in my backup folder i got these files (ENCKEY.BIN,IDENTIFY.BIN,INQUIRY.BIN,KEY.BIN,L83CFW.BIN,L83DUM.BIN) so i think am on the safe side , right? and do u know where i can get best tutrial to how to spoof benq with lite on ? do i need to use benq files in the future for updating ?

No need for the BenQ files, when you dump the drive, you will just get a stock FW, the key will be all 0's and will be useless...

Take those 6 files and make backup copies of them... The main thing you need is your key.bin...

Spoofing the drive is just 1 extra step.. Building the CFW...

Open jungle flasher, load your l83dummy.bin as source and benq 1.6/1.61 as target, and click spoof source to target, now save that FW, and flash with iPrep or jungle.

For iPrep, get your stick ready, then go into the backups\1234567\12345\ folder and put your cfw in there

Now when you go to flash the drive type in ben 1234567 12345 w and it will skip the dump process and flash your CFW
