Activation ISO and problems with 1.61

I flashed two benq's with the new 1.61. and the latest ixdef. Flashing went smooth, but it won't play the bakup of MW2.
I downgraded to 1.6 to use the activate ISO, but the console refuses to apply the update. It just continues asking if you want to apply the update and reboots and then again the same question over and over.
I haven't been able to find any answers. Not sure if accepting the update was a mistake (although cofree's tutorial says to take the update) or something is wrong with the new ixtreme. I did the research but found no answers for this issue. If you guys know a workaround please let me know.

Cofree, thanx for the quick response. One more thing man, is this issue only with MW2 or are there more reports of other wave 4 games having trouble?

some1 on another forum was having the same prob unless he disconnected his hdd, the way he solved it was to make a new gamer tag and all was fine.
