Re: Quesiton on sending 360 in for repair
Thanks for the quick response Jman. Ive also been having issues with my power supply. Every so often it will be red instead of the orange color its supposed to be. Im going to test out the power supply unit. The 360 itself was manufactured only 7 months ago. I've had the power supply ever since I go...

Quesiton on sending 360 in for repair
I currently have a 360 thats giving me a E74. The console has a BenQ drive which is modded. I was able to remove the Microsoft seal sticker and put it back on without messing it up when I did the mod. Im wondering if I should send it in or attempt to fix it myself. I've done several xclamp repairs b...

Re: BIG IN 2008 – Xbox Ultimate
Looks pretty cool. Im just wondering when they will stop making bigger and badder 360's. Generally a new generation of game consoles come out every 5 or 6 years. The 360 broke ground in '04 I believe so you would think around '09 or '10 that a new system might come out. I just don't see the point in...

Re: Flasing my Benq drive with iPrep
You can try what I did. I couldn't get mine to change, so I connected the xbox and had it powered on before booting into iprep. I turned it off just before hitting "y". Turned it on again after I pressed the "y" button and it started flashing. If you can't get that to work I woul...

Re: benQ and via 6421 0xFF error
I had this same problem with mine. It was giving me the 0xFF. What finally worked for me was I would have the drive plugged in and turned on right after I booted into Iprep. I turned it off just before I had to press "y". After I pressed "y" I would turn it on again and It would ...

Re: Samsung to Hitachi
Alright, I finally got the drive in the mail. I have to open the firmware before I put in the key, I am guessing its the new Hitachi drive that I just dumped. I then insert the key from the Samsung and click smart patcher. It then has an output file and rule set. This is where Im getting a little co...

Re: More Xbox Live ban waves this weekend
I would be interested to see if anyone got banned that flashed straight to 1.4 and had no other previous firmware on their xbox. 1.4 just came out so it might be hard to find someone that flashed it straight out of the box that has been banned. Also, has anyone heard of any Benq drives being banned ...

Re: More Xbox Live ban waves this weekend
Ya I meant to check COD4 but didn't. Brought all my games over to a friends house to check them (I just have a laptop). But I accidentally left COD4 in the system. Wouldn't suprise me if it was bad though.

More Xbox Live ban waves this weekend >> From users on the forums, and other networking sites... It appears that MS has started banning people over the past week (happy holidays xbox360 users!). As always, we would like to gather data and input from the community as to what may be causing th...

Re: Question about stealth check
Well I checked all my backups with XBC and the kreon checker. All passed the XBC stealth check, but Halo 3 had a bad Kreon rip. I ripped all the games with XBC 2.5. I upgraded to version 2.7, ripped the original Halo 3 again and it checked out ok. I don't know if it was the new version of XBC that d...

Question about stealth check
I recently got banned from xbox live and Im getting ready to check all my backups with the programs listed in the tutorial section. All my backups were burned from original copies using XBC. I've heard of people having bad sectors even burning 100% originals, so Im sure some of mine are bad. My ques...

Re: Samsung to Hitachi
Thanks for the quick response. You definately cleared up a few areas where I wasn't sure about. Now I just got to wait for the drive to get here in the mail. Now I just hope it will recognize my USB/SATA connection. I flashed a few other Hitachi drives using it, never with the firmare toolbox though...

Samsung to Hitachi
Im going to swap my Samsung MS28 for a older Hitachi version. Im pretty sure I know how to do this but I just wanted to get some clarification before I start and potentially screw something up. 1. Select my firmware for my Hitachi (ixtreme). 2. Insert my key from my MS28 into my Hitachi firmware. 3....
