Re: Ban Wave
I wish people would stop thinking that unhooking your xbox from the internet will keep you from getting banned when you play an early release or a burnt game. It doesnt matter if you disconnect your internet, HD, memory stick, brain.....as soon as you connect to live again your xbox sends any/all of...

Re: BANNED CONSOLE
just reading on another forum and read some people can still access live if they take the "backup" disc out of their drive. They are able to talk to friends, access xbl content and games just like they arent banned, but as soon as the disc is back in the drive the ban message comes back ag...

The only thing that either of them has in common is Forza 3. Everyone else that ive done mods for havent reported to me anything yet. One of the guys got forza ...

Re: Really Need Help, Successful Flash, Burning Smell
I would also make sure you didnt put the power cable back into the drive upside down. If so you could have created that burn smell and possibly fried your drive.

Re: Hitachi drive, problem with backups
Ok, thanks for the link.
If nothing seems to work, I could always just get another laser assembly right? or is there more involved with that then just swapping them out.

Hitachi drive, problem with backups
I have a pretty good idea of whats going on (i think) from what Ive ready but I figured Id ask here. Flashed my friends Hitachi 47 drive a few months back. He just decided recently to start playing it and the games I had given him weren't working. I thought maybe the flash was bad since regular game...

Re: Need help with my Hitachi 79 and JF
I was having the same problem, the way i solved it was using slax to put the drive in vendor mode, once i did it popped up in JF. Unsure if it will work for you but it was the way I got around to see the drive.

Re: Need some help/guidance....
Im beating my head into the wall trying to figure this out. I cant seem to pull the key no matter which way I go. JF says serial data is bad everytime using the probe or even bridging with a screwdriver. Its showing the lite-on drive on my via sata card and if I have the usb plugged in it shows it o...

Re: Need some help/guidance....
Ok, I got my via card and I can now see the dvd drive on JF and everything checks out. Now when I put the probe in the r707 hole and push the get key button on JF i keep getting serial data is bad. is my probe gone?? Ive tried to bridge r707 with a screwdriver and keep getting the same thing over an...

Re: Need some help/guidance....
none of those are a problem, I just wanted to make sure that if I was going to do the screwdriver bridge I would go about doing it the same way but instead of putting the probe in the 707 hole I would just bridge the connection points.
Thanks

Re: Need some help/guidance....
ok, next question. I have a via card coming so with any luck my no detection problems will disappear. Now what I need to know is if my ck3 probe did in fact die....is there another way to extract the key instead of having to order another probe and waiting over a month to get it like last time. Ive ...

Re: Need some help/guidance....
So I was just reading up some more on if anyone has had the same problem as me on the net and found another forum where someone was stating the same thing: his bios was detecting the drive but as soon as he opened up JF it wasnt detected....the com port was checking out fine but when he cycled throu...
