What is the jumper setting on the drive? Try setting it to master or slave and see if Windows detects it. Jumper settings deal with the little plastic block and the pins on the back of the drive. Here's a guide illustrating what I mean: http://computershopper.com/howto/200608 ... d_burner_3" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Try master, then try slave and see if Windows detects it.

Sesshomaru on the back of my DVD drive for my xbox 360 there was no jumpers because it was a sata DVD drive. But yeah if it had jumpers that would have been some great info. Just the littlest thing won't let windows detect the drive just like my drive i bought off of eBay i have to set the jumper to slaver but there was no jumper setting on the drive so i had to plug and play with it until i could see it in my BIOS. Thanks for the info i will keep that in mind if i ever flash a Xbox360 DVD drive again. Thanks, Nxdragon.

Lol, I think my work is driving me nuts. Sorry, I totally missed the problem, I thought he was trying to hook up a SHD-162C to his PC, I missed the part about getting it to detect a Hitachi in mode B. :oops:

Question about xbox1 backups. Will they play on the xbox 360 if the DVD drive firmware is hacked. I can't find one of my games right now but i was just asking if anyone know or not?

Yes, if the game is on the compatibility list and you back it up correctly. Just put your original Xbox 1 game in a SH-D162C or SH-D163B and open up Xbox Backup Creator and rip it like normal. Then burn the game to a Dual Layer disc and it should boot if all is good. The iso size won't be 7.29GB's, it's different for Xbox 1 games. Just make sure it's on the backwards compatibility list and back it up with XBC and it should work fine. Backwards compatibility list: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwar ... eslist.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
