Did you extract or move the files to the root of your C drive??

lets make sure you have the file in the right place..

type > cd c:\
then type > dir

this will bring up the list of files & folders (directorys) located in the root of your drive // take a screen grab or copy & paste the details & post them here ;)

v1.4 is the current firmware.. there is a new release of firmware toolbox also - it's now on version 4.7

you can find it here >> viewtopic.php?f=63&t=2464&p=13963" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ;)

no! the unlock is temporary not permanent... you will have to unlock the drive again with the audio Cd (follow the original procedure)
With the hit drives (unlike the sams & benqs) you will have to restore the original firmware - u cannot cross flash!

there are tutorials on here for doing this >> viewtopic.php?f=110&t=1311&p=7938" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I have never done a 79 but I believe the process should be the same as the rest.. perhaps it's best to confirm with some1 that has before you go ahead.

After restoring you can then flash the new firmware ;)
